Quotes I Like
“And remember as in all of us, it is only your capacity for wickedness that makes selflessness possible.”
“The most obvious way is not always the right path”
“The world I grew up in is gone, too," I said quietly. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to give up on it. Because if you give up—then what is there left to live for?”

Review
I enjoyed this book, not as much as the first two but it was still good. I didn't love the beginning of this one as much, just because I missed Oz. Actually even when we got back into Oz I didn't feel like it was as magical as the first two. I felt like the start of this was a little drab being stuck back in Kansas and the story moved much slower, I felt like it took forever to get moving in the story.
As great as this new friendship with Madison and Dustin was.... It wasn't. I get that Amy needed a new group to help her on this new quest but I just don't know why it needed to be the WORST person ever. And I know now Madison is all nice and friendly and all that but I just don't think one apology and giving birth makes up for the abysmal way she treated Amy in the first book. I think that characters can grow and evolve but this felt forced and fake to me, and like a cheap way to move forward the plot. I thought that how Amy acted around her mom was much more believable in this front, she was skeptical and bitter and not all forgiving. I think this was a much better portrayal of a mending relationship.
As always the characters in this book were great, I love how they interact, how they speak, how they make choices. I love the Witches and Nox and I'm digging this weird coven thing they've got going on. Overall this was a good book not my favourite in the series, but I still enjoyed reading it. I think this is a really fun series and love reading twisted fairytales.
